The British Horseracing Authority (“BHA”) has this morning confirmed that the race meeting scheduled for Monday 4 July at Ffos Las Racecourse will now be held on Tuesday 5 July.
This decision was taken following the confirmation of protests due to take place on the M4 at the Prince of Wales Bridge, crossing from England into Wales, that will severely block road traffic into the country.
Executive Director of Ffos Las Racecourse, Phil Bell, said, “We are grateful to the BHA and our horseracing industry colleagues for agreeing to reschedule this fixture. The planned protests will, inevitably, bring significant disruption and delays to road traffic and it would not be in the best interests of horses and racegoers looking to travel to Ffos Las Racecourse on Monday.”
“We appreciate the inconvenience that this will cause those who have booked in to join us for racing on Monday, but all tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled fixture. In addition, we will be in touch with everyone who has booked in advance for this fixture to offer them an additional complimentary ticket to return to the racecourse at a future date.”
